Along with Mayor Michelle Wu of Boston, several mayors of cities and towns in the greater Boston area issued a statement expressing alarm at the tactics of ICE agents within their communities. Included in the statement is the following:
“We believe that these ICE actions are jeopardizing public safety, and we urge the US Attorney’s Office to immediately investigate these practices for constitutional violations and ensure that ICE makes public their policies regarding how individuals are targeted, due process, and use of force.”
